I’ve been seeing a chiropractor. I have gibbled hips & radiating pain down my glute.. Sounds painful yes? More annoying in reality. Was more painful to point at my ass & explain where my pain is originating from.
When I lie on my side when I sleep, it’s uncomfortable. When I walk for long distances, I have to stretch out my back. I usually wonder if this is what old people feel like.
So through our sessions he asks me. What is your activity level…
This is where I usually lie.
I know my chiro outside that tiny room which is a problem in itself, so it causes me to sound a lot more athletic then I am. However, instead of lying per se, I hark back to a time when I wasn’t shiftless. Fact is, in recent months, I have become quite sedentary.
I’ve been hoarded down by deadlines & bogged down by meetings & networking so I always feel like there just isn’t enough time to go to Yoga. To walk to kickboxing. To go for my morning walks! (the thought.. it’s what has kept me sane).
“Do you do crunches?” (I think of the roll of flab I spotted that morning…. “Yes! i do them a few times a week” (ok.. so at the beginning of the month maybe).
“Do you work on your core”.. “Yes! in Kickboxing.” (I haven’t been since September began)
“How long do you sit at your computer?” …. “Well… I do get up to freshen my tea & well, I need to walk to the bathroom” (Ok, so I didn’t answer that. I don’t want him to think about me peeing).
After the critical examination (well, I was sweating), he deduced my chair sucks.
I deduced I’m lazy. (I used to actually work out almost every day and still blame B-rock for my fitness demise). So in hopes that I don’t have to return to that tiny room & have him rub my ass, I have made a vow to increase my activity level. Also it helps make my pants fit better.
So back to kickboxing I went….. only to find out that last night we were working on our legs.. YES! kicking is the focus. So how do we strengthen our legs? Squats. Lots of squats.
We did squats
We did squats & kicked
We did hopped & did squats
Then did regular squats again
Then we took a break….. we did some lunges.
I now fear my toilet.
